About Us

National Engineering Research Center for Nanomedicine(NERCN)was approved by the Ministry of science and technology of China in 2009, and supported by Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It integrates the nanomedicine research teams from SchoolCollege of Life Science, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Material Science, School of Physics, School of Pharmacy, School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital in HUST.

This multidisciplinary researching and developing technology platform is engaged in the application research of nanopharmaceutical technology, nanomaterials for medicine, and nanodiagnostics and detection technology,.nano preparation technology, nano biomedical materials and nano diagnosis and detection technology,technology development as well as product development and its industrialization.

In the past 5 years, as the chief scientific department, the engineering centerNERCN has presided over national major scientific research project such as “Nanotechnology Rresearch”. Besides, it has undertaken over 20 subjects of the National Science and Technology Major Project of “National New Drug Innovation”, National “973” project, Nnational “863” project and National Key R&D Plan PProject, over 60 subjects of National Natural Science Foundation Projects, over 100 subjects of major scientific projects of provinces and cities as well as the enterprise horizontal cooperation projects.
