Yang Xiangliang is Professor and Ph.D Supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is currently director of NERCN, executive vice-president of College of Life Science and Technology in HUST, chief scientist of the national “Nanotechnology research project”, vice chairman of Nanomedicine Specialty Committee of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, vice chairman of Nanomedicine and Engineering Branch of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering(CSBE), vice chairman of Nanooncology Specialty Committee of Anti-Cancer Association of China and vice-president of New Chinese Medicine Delivery System Specialty Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies(WFCMS). As the project leader or the main researcher, professor Yang has taken charge of over 10 national major scientific research projects, national “863” projects and NSFC projects. Academically, over 260 of his articles have appeared in SCI journals, and these articles have been cited over 4800 times in total. His work also includes 3 monographs like Nanomedicine, Nanodrugs and Safety of Nanomedicine, over 40 drug related invention patents, 3 awards like first prize of scientific and technological progress of Hubei province, second prize of natural science of Hubei Province and second prize of science progress of Hubei province, 3 new drug certificates and 16 production licenses.
        Liu Wei is Professor and Ph.D Supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is currently director of Department of Nanomedicine and Biopharmaceuticals of College of Life Science and Technology in HUST, minister of nanopharmaceuticals of NERCN, member of International Controlled Release Society(CRS), member of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists(AAPS), vice president of Transdermal Drug Delivery Specialty Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies(WFCMS) and member of Nanooncology SDpecialty Committee of Anti-Cancer Association of China. As project leader, professor Liu has taken charge of over 20 national “863” projects, national “973” branch projects, NSFC projects, major scientific projects of Hubei province as well as the enterprise horizontal cooperation projects. The research team that professor Liu leads has carried out the nanocarrier technology into the field of transdermal drug delivery, cosmetics and health care food much earlier in China. Besides, the concept of skin targeted delivery by using nanocarrier proposed by his team is highly recognized by domestic and foreign counterparts, which can be reflected by the over thousand times citation of this concept related SCI articles. Delightedly, the nanocarrier products they developed have been successfully applied in domestic and international functional cosmetics and health food products.
