On May 16, 2023, the National Nanodrug Engineering Technology Research Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Engineering Center) signed a cooperation agreement with the well-known domestic cosmetics enterprise Oushiman Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Oushiman), focusing on the research and development of nano carrier technology for skincare ingredients, and jointly building a joint research platform for the application of nano carrier technology in cosmetics. Professor Yang Xiangliang, Director of the Engineering Center, Professor Liu Wei, Chief Scientist of Wuhan Baisikairui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Leader of the Nanoformulation Discipline of the Engineering Center, Professor Wan Jiangling, Chief Engineer of the Engineering Center, Professor Hu Jun, Assistant Director of the Engineering Center, Professor Huo Gang, General Manager of Oushiman R&D Center, Director Xu Qin of Oushiman New Media Communication and Public Relations Department, Dr. Fang Zhaohua, Dr. Fang Zhaohua, General Manager Qiu Qi of Aoxue Shanghai Company, and Supervisor Zhang Wei of Wuhan Baisikairui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony together. The joint research platform will collaborate on the development direction and needs of the Osman pearl cosmetics industry, and jointly carry out research on the active carriers and mechanisms of cosmetic functional ingredients.
Oushiman has been focusing on the pearl skincare field for 56 years, laying a solid foundation for the construction of the "Pearl+" industry university research cooperation platform. This cooperation with the Engineering Center can be described as a strong alliance, which not only provides strong technological empowerment for Oushiman's products, but also promotes the better industrial application of the Engineering Center's core technology in the cosmetics industry. The joint research platform actively promotes industry university research cooperation, resource integration and collaborative innovation. It will carry out in-depth cooperation around the two major product lines of Osiman whitening and anti-aging. Through the application of transdermal nano carrier technology, it will effectively improve the bioavailability of effective raw materials for cosmetics and achieve "precision skin care". The establishment of a joint research platform also represents a further deepening of cooperation between the engineering center and leading domestic cosmetics companies, and will promote the improvement of the research and innovation capabilities of the cosmetics industry, contributing to the development of China's functional cosmetics industry.
